VIDEO: 3 Quick Tips for How to Hoop

The best kind of cardio workout is one that doesn’t seem like you’re working out. And still kicks your butt. That’s one of the reasons why I love hooping!

I’ve talked in the past of the reasons why I’m a hoop girl. It burns almost as many calories as a boot camp class. You can do it whenever and wherever the mood strikes you. It’s great to put on your favorite music and just spin away. And if you do it in the park, it’s an instant way to make friends.

Best of all, you can do it at home as long as you have a room with enough open space. And with winter coming up, any opportunity to burn calories without venturing out into the cold is a good thing, right? But the biggest reason why people don’t jump on the hoop bandwagon is that they think it’s hard to learn how. Maybe they haven’t hooped since they were a kid and were never very good at it. The good news is …

(a) you’re more coordinated now than you were when you were younger …
(b) the hoop you’ll be using is better quality than the 99 cent piece of plastic from your youth, and …
(c) my video will have you hooping like a pro in 3 easy steps.

So just hit play on the video above and in a couple minutes time you’ll be spinning that hoop like you’ve been doing it for years. I have YET to fail in teaching someone the simple steps to take and I don’t think that you, dear reader, will be my first failure.
