For the record, I want Jillian to be a high-level trainer because she does have the ability to literally inspire millions. I want her to be the “Dr. Oz” of trainers with all of the credentials in her industry that Dr. Oz has is in his industry. I trust what Dr. Oz says (and have even bought his books) because of his impeccable resume. I would love to have the same respect for Jillian.
So I’ve been a little busy this week. Super busy in fact. I’ve got a new gig working with the AOL Health folks. I’m a fitness blogger for their That’s Fit page.

I was at my Pilates studio today, which is located inside a great health club, and six of the staff members were standing around the front desk discussing “The Biggest Loser.” When I said I have a love/hate relationship with the show, everyone else started nodding.
I have love/hate feelings for the Biggest Loser. Here are my thoughts for Season 8.
There are some bleak statistics out there. One study states that 83% of people who diet gain it all back plus more within two years. Losing 5 to 10 percent of your body is actually a relatively simple task. It’s a short-term assignment filled with lots of eating less and lots of moving more. It’s when the dieter shifts back to “normal” living that diets fail.
Reality TV is crossing over into reality and people are getting hurt.
I am fascinated with the show the Biggest Loser. What I can’t determine is if I’m watching the start of a brand new life for someone struggling with their weight or if I’m watching a train wreck.
