Hiroshi, thanks so much for your comments. You might want to look at my post for today about how to get high-end groceries for low-end prices ... http://bit.ly/beQfNT. The other big thing that people forget about is portion size. If we buy the appropriate portion sizes we save tons of money right there!

Thanks for stopping by.

Erin is right. After awareness, the education must follow. There is a misconception that healthy food is costly. I believe it is totally opposite; prepared food (with, I might say, all the bad preservatives, etc.) is actually more expensive (per pound served basis). I believe the foremost important thing and challenge is how to educate people to change/modify their eating in healthier ways. It starts at home. Parents need to be educated. Some parents never been exposed to home cooking meals and of course their children do not know any better. The TV show really showed the trend. The changes are all in the hands of parents.

This country needs to get on the healthy track. Obesity is a HUGE concern, (no pun intended). If it takes a Brit to get us on the right track, so be it. Moderation is the key. You don't have to starve yourself or give up your favorite foods, just cut back a little.

More celebrities need to step up to the health challenge. You don’t have to starve yourself or go broke to stay healthy.

That is awesome! I have very high hopes that the show will help increase awareness. After awareness, then we can work on education and change. One step at a time....
