I stock up when their on sale and freeze most of them. I eat them all time!

Oh and Lisa, I thought of you when my yoga class was cancelled this morning. I decided to mix things up and played tennis instead!

Wild blueberries are much better than the garden variety, though. They're also likely to be much healthier. At least here in Europe the garden berries are greenish on the inside even when ripe, but the wild ones are completely purple throughout, so they must contain more anthocyanins and other beneficial components.

Our friends in NH have an organic blueberry farm and the fruit is so heavy on the bushes it droops to the ground. Thankfully they don't weigh you on the way out!

Hi Lisa, long time no see! I've got a few bushes in my backyard, covered by a rather large (and frankly ingenious) critter-proof enclosure. It looks funky, but now I get at least 10 gallons of berries each season, and most of them go to appreciative friends & neighbors. Right now they're at the peak of sweetness, and I've got them spread all over my dining table waiting for freezer space! It's fascinating how a bowl of fresh blueberries really lightens the mood at staff mtgs. Yes, I'm the local blueberry boy, and proud of it. I'd be happy to send a pic of the enclosure to anyone who's interested.
