Eco-Friendly Fitness Gifts
I have found over the years that the more a person cares about their body, the more likely they are to be greenies. I’ve watched myself go through the transformation and quite a few of my clients as well.
I’ve also been in the fitness industry for 13 years and I need what I buy to stand up to what I dish out. I live in fitness gear and use it daily … it’s gotta work.
If you’re buying for a health conscious and eco-friendly person this holiday season. Here’s some ideas that I know they’ll love …
1. Yoga Clothes: Matter Yoga is a small, high quality California company that uses organic cotton and low impact dyes. They also make great, comfortable clothes that stay in place. I wear my 4 pairs of pants all the time when I teach Pilates and they’re great.
2. Stainless Steel Water Bottle: Don’t get aluminum which can leech over time. Stainless steel is the way to go and one of the easiest way to green your workout. There are some great ones from SIGG. They have great designs, get the sports active model with the easier access top and thinner body which will fit in all those cup holders, even on a group exercise bike.
3. Casual Sneakers: Most fitness gals with a sense of style would rather not wear their big clunky sneakers to the gym. The folks at Simple shoe and Keen both make great options. I wear both of these brands and have had nothing but good luck with them. Plus I get lots of compliments at my local coffee shop.
4. Yoga Mats: LotusPad is near and dear to my heart. They epitomize what the green movement should be. Great products, great customer service, stylish design, and on yeah, they just happen to be eco-friendly. I love their mats and straps. I only buy mats from here.
5. Pilates Reformer: For the fitness love of your life, the ultimate luxury, a Reformer in your home. I’ve chosen Balanced Body as the greenest of the manufacturers. President Ken Endelman is one of the most committed greenies I know and they have a green policy to consistently source the best products with the least amount of impact.

The author of http://www.lisajohnsonfitness.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: There is no such thing as normal, only many different definitions of abnormality. Thanks for the info.
