I wouldn't have seen this since the demo for Glamour readers is more for the younger women (ages late teens to late 20's). It's fantastic that they've chosen to show a real woman in their pages. The fashion mags like Elle, Bazaar, and Vogue need to take a hint and try to fit realistic images in their magazines as opposed to providing us with the fantasy.

I've always been a fan of plus-size models! There's a great site with lots of images of plus-size models here:

<a href="http://www.judgmentofparis.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.judgmentofparis.com</a>

They're all gorgeous.

You nailed it with "Confidence" - You should mention that the confidence in her expression speaks of a taste for pleasure and a powerful sexuality - At least to me, it does :)

This is just a picture, but it is very exciting and simply makes a man "want her".

Fantastic! So good to see real women! I vote that airbrushing be outlawed and a model's age (and maybe how many times she's given birth) be disclosed!

Like Karen I rarely pick up those kinds of mags. They are so deflating.

I could have a perfectly toned body and manage a household and career and marriage too if I had a personal chef, housekeeper, trainer, and time to workout without interruption! ;)

I love this image. It makes me (a momma with 4 kids and the body to prove it) so happy to see someone I can relate to on the pages of a magazine.

Now we just need more models with stretch marks. :)

Awesome Lisa!! It's great to see a woman celebrated for looking like woman and that being fit should be about health and not perfection. Thanks for such a great post!

Lisa,

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing this - I don't even pick up these magazines because all they do is reinforce beauty stereotypes, so I would never have known.
