A Graphic Example of Sugar in Soda!
A few years ago I read the average 12 ounce can of soda has 9.5 teaspoons of sugar in it. My husband had been swigging away at them for years and I was trying to get him to stop so I took a 12 oz glass, added 9.5 teaspoons of sugar (no liquid) and walked into the living room to show him what he was putting in his body. It was more than half the glass! This worked quite well and he switched to mostly water with a Coke Zero every now and again.
I recently came across a web site with a similar premise. If you’re thinking about reaching for a sugary soda, you might want to click here first!
Enjoy.

Nice post, Lisa! And what a great idea!
Funny, and a good idea! One question though… if somebody’s going to only drink soda once in a while, wouldn’t you rather them have a lot of sugar (a real coke) than all the fake stuff in zero-calorie soda? Maybe it’s just my personal food philosophy, but I’d pick the regular soda.
