30 Day Challenge: Day 12

We're nearing the half way point, twelve days down

We’re starting to see the halfway point.  We’re about to close out two weeks of work.  Conventional wisdom used to say it takes three weeks to form a habit and we’re almost two-thirds of the way there.

If you’ve been doing your daily activity then it should be getting easier now.  If you’ve been haphazard though how can you make it more likely to accomplish?

Remember when I asked you back on Day One to write down what to tell yourself when you were flagging?  What was that thing?  What were those words of wisdom that you need to hear right now?

Feel free to Google your goal to look for more reasons for all the positives.  For instance, Google “five servings of veggies” and what do you get back, or “daily 30 minutes of exercise.”  Sometimes looking outside our own heads for assistance can help a lot too.

Of course journaling is one of the most powerful ways to change a habit.  Write down what you’re doing and it’ll definitely help you stick to the changes.  That’s one of the reasons we’re doing these daily posts.  You can journal right here in the comments section.

Let me know how you’re doing!

I’m back on track today, after a few days of not really feeling it but yet pushing through to complete my challenge…today I got mine done first thing this morning and have rest of day to get to work work work here! I know I still need to (and can) push myself to do more push ups in one shot but yet still didn’t totally give it my all today…but better than the last few days.

I’m kicking myself a bit … why on earth did I start a 30 day challenge in the middle of moving my studio? Ack! So it’s a struggle but I’m getting it in. Can’t wait for Monday when I’m settled and hopefully everything will go more smoothly. :-)

Ok…I’ve been super busy and disappeared for a little while. However I have been getting up early most days!

It is my “me” time and I cherish it. I own my own business and have a 3 y/o little girl and a husband. If I don’t get some time to myself then I do not take care of my family the way I should.

    Thanks for the challenge Lisa!

I bet that the meditation is helping you when you can fit it in even during this busy time.

Jamie, it’s awesome that you’re sticking with your early morning routine (or almost routine!). I was up an hour early once this past week and went for a walk and then a meditation and felt so great with what I had accomplished and I was thinking of you!

The meditation has definitely been helping as I go through my studio move. I was craving it the other day, I was “jonesing” for my beads! Thought that was a good sign. I’ve already done more mediation in this 12 day challenge than I did for most of last year so that’s good!

It’s working, little by little and hiccups are just that, hiccups, if I have one I just move on.
