10 Reasons To Try Pilates
I run this site with a general fitness slant, but Pilates is near and dear to my heart. I’ve been a Pilates instructor for 12 years now and I’ve come up with a great list of why you should try Pilates. It’s a little silly, but I wanted to share.
Here it is …
- You’ll Look Awesome in a Tank Top
- The great posture you’ll get will give you an air of mystery
- The flattest abs you’ve ever had in your life. Really.
- Toned legs without doing hours of lunges
- Lots of Athletes do it ~ it’ll be the closest you ever get to living their glory
- Lots of Celebrities do it ~ it’ll be the closest you get to having their wardrobe
- No More Muffin Top ~ I’m just saying …
- A fun, creative workout that’s always changing, always challenging
- Lots of personal attention to zone in on the one part that’s driving you nuts
- The ability to turn heads whenever you enter the room

These are great reasons to do Pilates!
Posture awareness is one of the benefits I hear a lot, and one of my students’ doctor informed her after 6 months of regular Pilates that she had grown 1/2 inch.

Love it! Specially the ‘air of mystery’ :-)
One should also include core strength reduces back pain problems caused by weak muscles
Also, it makes your butt look FANTASTIC!!! w00000t! I’m also a pilates instructor, and I know all the deeper benefits of pilates, but I’m not gonna lie: one of the most exciting parts about doing regular pilates workouts is you’ll have the leanest, most toned and perky body you can possibly imagine! :)
You spend your time effectively working out! You might only do an exercise for a short amount of time but that’s all you need to do! Cause pilates is smart like that!!!
People who do pilates regularly feel they have better posture, are less prone to injury, and experience better overall health. Pilates improves your mental and physical well-being, increases flexibility, and strengthens muscles. So, I think there are a lot of reasons for trying pilates.
